He Is Risen!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
He is truly risen! Alleluia!
Today is the greatest day in the life of the Church. Everything we believe as Christians stands on this truth:
π Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death.
1. The Empty Tomb
In the Gospel (John 20:1β9), Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb early in the morning β while it is still dark.
She finds the stone rolled away.
At first, there is confusion.
Peter and the beloved disciple run to the tomb. They see the burial cloths β but no body.
The tomb is empty.
π The empty tomb is the first sign that something extraordinary has happened.
2. From Fear to Faith
At first, the disciples do not fully understand.
But gradually, something changes.
Fear begins to give way to faith.
Doubt begins to give way to belief.
βHe saw and believed.β
Easter is a journey β from confusion to clarity, from darkness to light.
3. The Victory of Christ
What happened on Easter morning?
- Death was defeated
- Sin was conquered
- Hope was restored
Jesus did not just come back to life β He rose to a new and eternal life.
π The Resurrection is not just an event.
π It is a victory that changes everything.
4. What It Means for Us
Easter is not just about Jesus β it is about us too.
Because Christ is risen:
- our sins can be forgiven
- our lives can be renewed
- our future is filled with hope
No situation is beyond Godβs power:
- not failure
- not suffering
- not even death
5. Living the Resurrection
Easter challenges us:
π Are we living as people of the Resurrection?
To live Easter means:
- choosing hope over despair
- choosing love over hatred
- choosing life over sin
- choosing faith over fear
We are called to be Easter people β people of joy, light, and hope.
Conclusion
Dear friends,
The stone has been rolled away.
The tomb is empty.
Christ is alive.
May this Easter fill our hearts with faith, our lives with hope, and our world with the light of Christ.
Alleluia! He is risen!
Amen.
